UK-based Red Rooster Lifting has finished setting up a 7m NIKO swing jib crane in a hydraulic facility.
The new crane system includes a Kito Crosby EQ electric chain hoist that has a lifting capacity of 500kg.
It replaces an earlier method that used forklifts for positioning hydraulic motors and pumps onto workbenches.
Workshop staff now conduct lifting tasks directly at the point of work, which has reduced congestion and improved accuracy in load placement during equipment assembly and disassembly, said the company.
The Kito Crosby EQ electric chain hoist, used in the installation, supports capacities ranging from 125kg to 1t.
The compact, light-weight EQ hoist includes an integrated inverter enabling dual-speed control, features nickel-plated load chains, built-in overload protection, and is designed for minimal maintenance due to fewer internal components.
The hoist, which is suitable for the assembly line, work station, is used in mining, construction, foundry, logistics and automotive and manufacturing industry.
Red Rooster Lifting has operated for more than three decades, offering supply, rental and service of powered lifting and load measuring equipment.
Its portfolio includes air hoists, winches, manual and electric hoists, specialist equipment, light crane systems, load orientation products, hand winches, and load measuring devices.
The company’s products are present in various sectors including offshore operations, manufacturing lines, industrial plants, refineries and shipbuilding yards worldwide.
Recently, Red Rooster Lifting engineered and provided a certified ultra-low headroom hoist and gantry system for a client’s nuclear facility.
The bespoke solution enabled the handling of a 6t radiation test unit in an area where available headroom was limited.
Last month, the company also completed the installation and commissioning of two single girder overhead travelling cranes at a newly established fabrication workshop in north-east Scotland for another client.
