Red Rooster Lifting has completed the installation and commissioning of two single girder overhead travelling cranes from Street Crane at a new fabrication workshop in the North East of Scotland, UK for an unnamed client.

The facility, serving the renewable energy supply chain, now uses a 10t and a 1t crane to support the movement and assembly of components.

The company oversaw every stage of the project, from landing and positioning both cranes on long travel rails, to fitting a 55m conductor rail system for power distribution.

Technicians connected both units to the site’s wall-mounted isolator and conducted load testing to verify compliance with performance standards.

Upon completion, Red Rooster Lifting provided thorough examination reports and test certificates to confirm that the equipment met all required regulations.

The overhead cranes are intended to streamline material handling within the facility by supporting both heavy fabricated structures and lighter lifting tasks.

The installation aims to improve operational efficiency throughout fabrication and assembly processes while reducing manual handling.

In a LinkedIn post, the company said: “Our team handled every stage of the project, including landing and positioning the cranes, installing a 55m conductor rail system, connecting power, performing load testing, and issuing full compliance reports.

“Alongside installation, we delivered crane consultation and lifecycle support, ensuring long-term operational reliability and compliance with industry standards.”

In addition to installing the cranes, Red Rooster Lifting supplied ongoing consultation and lifecycle support services for continued operational reliability and industry compliance.

The project was managed to ensure that once installed, both cranes were ready for immediate use.
