GH Cranes & Components has installed an overhead crane at a newly constructed industrial facility operated by Fila Constructor in Bellver de Cerdanya, Lleida, Spain.
The plant is focused on producing timber-frame housing modules as part of Fila Constructor’s industrialised approach to construction.
The project is notable for its use of wood in both the building’s structure and the crane’s runway rails, reflecting a collaboration between Fila Constructor and GH Cranes.
According to the companies, this approach aims to combine the efficiency required for industrial-scale production with the use of renewable materials.
Both companies worked together to adapt the crane and its supporting infrastructure so it would integrate smoothly into the new site’s manufacturing process.
The overhead crane was custom-designed to match the specific workflow and dimensions of the facility.
GH Cranes reports that the installation was carried out to avoid disrupting the plant’s daily operations while ensuring integration with the existing production system.

GH Cranes, founded in 1958, supplies lifting equipment including bridge, gantry, and jib cranes.

Fila Constructor, which has operated as a family business for more than 75 years and employs over 30 staff, specialises in industrialised construction methods for timber-based housing modules.
GH Cranes & Components said its lifting devices are designed to prioritise safety, durability, and the ability to tailor systems according to client specifications.
In June 2026, GH Cranes Polska, the Polish branch of GH Cranes & Components, completed the installation of two double-girder overhead cranes designed for tandem operation at a client’s facility.
