MMB Services has installed a free-standing gantry system with two hoist units in the X-ray room of a specialist engineering company to support safer and more precise handling of heavy components during inspection.
The new equipment reduces the reliance on manual lifting, lowers the risk of injury, and supports accurate positioning of items within the X-ray field.
MMB Services ensured compliance with all relevant safety and lifting regulations throughout the project.
The team took into account factors such as load capacity, structural stability, and the specific requirements necessary for operations within a controlled X-ray environment.
All aspects of the installation met industry standards for health and safety.
The company said: “The installation was carried out in accordance with relevant safety and lifting regulations, with careful consideration given to load capacity, structural integrity, and the controlled environment required for X-ray operations. Great work team!”

In October 2025, MMB Services completed the installation of a crane system at a local foundry to assist with ongoing operations.
The equipment included a magnet attachment, inverter drives for all movements, radio controls, and an access walkway to allow straightforward maintenance activities.
The foundry ordered the crane for use in its newly constructed purpose-built facility.
