UK-based MMB Services has completed installation of a new crane at an unnamed local foundry to support their operations.
The crane system is equipped with a magnet attachment. It features inverter drives for all movements, radio controls, and an access walkway designed to facilitate easy delivery of maintenance tasks.
The foundry commissioned the crane system for its recently constructed purpose-built building.
The company said in a LinkedIn post: “A new crane installation done recently in a local foundry complete with magnet attachment. Inverter drive on all motions, radio control fitted and walkway for ease of maintenance. The crane was installed to supply their new furnaces in their new purpose manufactured building.”
Established by Mark and Martha, MMB Services is a family-owned business, as well as a member of the Safe Contractor Scheme.
MMB Services is headquartered in the West Midlands and offers crane and hoist servicing and repairs in Birmingham, Wolverhampton, and across the region.
The company’s engineers hold qualifications from Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) and operate throughout the UK.
Earlier this month, MMB Services took out a column-mounted swing jib that featured a fixed hoist and installed a free-standing swing jib fitted with a mobile hoist for a client.
This change enabled the client to improve both productivity and safety in that section of the facility, said the company.
