Jaidah Group has delivered and installed Konecranes S-Series overhead cranes for a major engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning (EPIC) contractor involved in the Kahramaa project.

This marks the first use of the Konecranes S-Series in a Kahramaa-related contract, with the equipment now fully approved by the relevant authorities.

The cranes will assist in utility sector developments within Qatar, supporting ongoing infrastructure initiatives.

The Konecranes S-Series features a mechanical design that allows for low-headroom operation and can integrate with existing building structures.

The hoist design aims to reduce structural twisting and equipment wear, while the rope system does not require lubrication.

The equipment is intended for use across various industries and includes remote monitoring capabilities for operational data and maintenance planning.

The company said: “Jaidah Group is proud to announce the successful installation and handover of overhead cranes for one of the largest EPIC contractors serving Kahramaa.

“This milestone reinforces our leadership and expanding market share within Qatar’s utility sector projects.

“We remain committed to supporting critical infrastructure developments by delivering advanced and trusted lifting technologies across the region.”

Jaidah Group, established in 1898, operates across multiple sectors, including automotive, equipment supply, electrical products, and furniture solutions.

The company continues to supply lifting technologies for infrastructure projects throughout the region.

Jaidah Group, in November last year, collaborated with a regional contractor to complete the commissioning of 43 overhead cranes for Qatar’s North Field South (NFS) project.

To meet project requirements, Jaidah’s team developed bespoke steel structures and coordinated with a steel contractor to accommodate partial outdoor runway operations.

The cranes were engineered to operate reliably in ambient temperatures of up to 50°C, reflecting Qatar’s harsh climate conditions.
