Spanish company GH Cranes & Components has supplied eight overhead cranes with 29 GH hoists to the new maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility operated by Safran Landing Systems Services Singapore (SLSSS).

The equipment was delivered through Interlift Sales, GH Cranes’ local partner.

The MRO facility is a joint development by Safran Landing Systems and SIA Engineering Company. It focuses on MRO operations specifically for aircraft landing gear.

The site, which accommodates both MRO and original equipment activities, is located about 7km from Changi Airport.

GH Cranes & Components was established in 1958 and provides a range of lifting equipment, including bridge, gantry, and jib cranes.

The company has produced more than 125,000 cranes and completed over 130,000 installations in upwards of 70 countries.

It operates 11 production plants in the US, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, alongside manufacturing sites and sales and service branches in over 14 countries.

SLSSS specialises in the repair and overhaul of landing gear, electrical harnesses, and hydro-mechanical systems for civil and regional aircraft.

The facility also offers exchange and lease services for landing gear components.

GH Cranes & Components said: “It is an honour and a challenge to provide reliable and precise lifting solutions for such a demanding environment as the aerospace industry.”

The collaboration for the new Singapore facility aims to enhance MRO operations for regional and civil aviation customers in the region.

Earlier this month, GH Cranes & Components installed an overhead crane at a newly built industrial facility run by Fila Constructor in Bellver de Cerdanya, Lleida, Spain.

The facility specialises in the production of timber-frame housing modules, supporting Fila Constructor’s industrialised construction methods.
