Finmotor has installed two Erikkila wall-mounted steel jib cranes, equipped with Kito EQ-series electric chain hoists for an undisclosed client in Finland.
The newly installed cranes are tailored for light to medium-duty industrial applications.
The Kito EQ-series hoists attached to the cranes use a variable frequency drive (VFD) and are designed with a compact and lightweight body.
According to the manufacturer, the hoists require fewer components, making them easier to handle and maintain.
The hoists also feature a no-load high-speed function, increasing speed by up to 130% when unladen to help improve operational efficiency.
Safety features on the EQ-series hoists include a friction clutch and an electronic overload limiter, which are intended to prevent accidents during use.
The load chain is made from KITO’s nickel-plated chain, developed to enhance strength and durability.
Erikkila, the company supplying the cranes, is involved in the innovation, manufacture, sale, and servicing of a range of cranes for industrial purposes.
Erikkila produces light cranes, jib cranes, and portal cranes. The company is part of Kito Crosby.
Erikkila states that it is committed to providing “high-quality, safe, and user-friendly products that meet strict environmental standards.”
Erikkila said: “A great example of how the right combination of crane and hoist creates an ergonomic and efficient lifting solution for everyday work.”
Finmotor has more than 30 years of experience in importing and supplying industrial lifting solutions and diesel engines in Finland. It supplies products, spare parts, and maintenance services across the country.
The company describes itself as the forerunner in its field in the Finnish market.
Earlier this month, Alto Systems installed an Erikkila light crane system to assist with lifting tasks requiring a capacity of up to 250kg. The system features a 9m-long runway and a bridge span of 6m. Lifting is carried out by a Yale CPVF electric chain hoist supplied by Columbus McKinnon.
