Spanish supplier of industrial equipment Industrias Velasco Cabrera (VECA) has delivered a 2t overhead crane to a repeat client in the assembly and repair sector.
The company completed the project using a chain hoist from Verlinde Lifting Equipment in order to address the operational requirements of the facility.
The equipment, which features a 9m span, incorporates a technical adaptation that allowed the main beam to be embedded within the structure.
This design enabled the crane to avoid extending over the end walls and optimised the available vertical space.
The company said: “What makes this equipment special is not only its 9m of span, but also the technical adaptation we made to overcome an extreme space challenge.
“In Industrias Velasco Cabrera (VECA), if the standard does not work, we design it to measure. Thank you for continuing to trust us for your most demanding projects!”
VECA, which brings over 25 years of experience in the field, focuses on the design, manufacture, and installation of material handling equipment.
In addition to project delivery, the company offers maintenance services, equipment repairs, and the supply of components.
VECA works with a supplier network to ensure access to necessary parts, aiming to maintain operational reliability and equipment lifespan across numerous industrial sites.
In April, VECA installed overhead cranes at the Almaraz Nuclear Power Plant in Spain.
The project included the design and installation of double-girder cranes, each with a lifting capacity of 20t and a 13.1m span.
VECA utilised lifting equipment from Verlinde. The installation complied with CNAT regulations for nuclear safety.
