UK-headquartered Towne Lifting and Testing has installed and commissioned a 10t overhead crane for an undisclosed client’s facility.
The project involved providing a new lifting solution aimed at supporting the operational needs of the client, with installation and testing carried out by Towne Lifting and Testing’s team.
The firm reported that the work was planned and executed to ensure both safety and minimal disruption to the customer’s ongoing operations.
The company coordinated all stages of the project, encompassing initial planning, the physical installation, and the final testing of the crane.

Towne Lifting and Testing was originally established in 1948 and started by supplying wires to shipping trawlers during the Second World War. It remains a third-generation family-owned business.
Tom Towne, the managing director leads the business, which operates from locations in Newcastle, Hull, and Stockton.
Towne Lifting and Testing supplies lifting equipment and safety systems to clients both locally and internationally.

Last month, Towne Lifting and Testing supplied and installed two jib cranes for a client. The project was designed to enhance both the safety and efficiency of material handling at the client’s site.
The installation delivered a lifting solution that met the specific operational requirements of the client. The company worked closely with the client throughout the project, from the initial discussions to the final stages of installation and commissioning.
