Topos has installed and tested a new high load overhead crane at its production facility in Hall 1 in Šluknov, Czech Republic.

The equipment completed a test lift of a THM 140T mixer frame, confirming operational readiness.

This latest addition increases the company’s total number of overhead cranes to ten, distributed across four production halls.

The new crane features a single-piece structural tube frame and remote-control operation.

According to Topos, the design elements allow for increased lifting capacity and reduced weight, enabling the movement of larger assemblies more efficiently within the plant.

The expanded crane capacity supports material handling requirements for large-scale equipment manufacturing.

By reducing manual handling, Topos reports that it can decrease labour needs and minimise delays, which may result in lower production costs.

The company said: “Our latest high load overhead crane has been installed in Hall 1 at our production facility and successfully tested with a full lift of a THM 140T mixer frame.

“At Topos, we continue to invest in technology that makes our manufacturing process faster, safer, and more cost-effective.”

Established in 1950, Topos manufactures machinery and automated lines for food processing plants, with a focus on dough mixing and handling equipment.

Topos recently conducted a factory acceptance test (FAT) of its 20ft, 8ft wide fryer, which has a production capacity of 1,000 dozen units per hour.

During the demonstration, the company operated a side-firing air nozzle designed to direct mini doughnuts into the turner and showcased features including a modulating burner system, remote gas delivery, a custom fume hood equipped with LED work lights, and an integrated winch lifting system for rapid flight conveyor changes.
