Taurus Cranes & Hoists has completed the design, installation, testing and commissioning of two 7.5t overhead cranes on a 90m runway for a client.
Details about the location of the facility or the customer remain undisclosed.
The latest development follows after Taurus managing director Anthony Purves revealed that the two 7.5t overhead cranes were in production for the client.
Founded in 2001, Taurus Cranes & Hoists has steadily grown its operations. Its engineering team draws on over five decades of combined experience to provide lifting equipment solutions and advisory services nationwide.
The company’s product range includes new and refurbished overhead crane systems, hoists, jibs and gantries, supporting diverse industrial requirements.
Maintenance, repair services and inspection programmes are also part of its core offerings.
Its crane hoist solutions range from compact chain hoists to wire rope hoists, which can be customised.
According to the company, its crane hoists use drums or pulleys to lift and lower loads. Options include manual, electric, or pneumatic hoists, which are selected based on load capacity and factors such as environment and frequency.
Taurus Cranes & Hoists has carried out a series of crane projects across the UK.
The company installed two additional cranes for Cairnhill Structures, a steel fabrication company based in Scotland.
The overhead cranes increased the lifting capacity of Cairnhill’s Special Projects Bay to over 50t.
This expansion included the addition of a double-hoist 40t crane with a 20t auxiliary hook to facilitate tandem lifts and turning operations, alongside a newly acquired 25t crane.
Cairnhill said: “This enhanced capacity will allow for larger, more complex projects to be delivered, will improve our operational efficiency, and deliver even greater value to our clients – all whilst maintaining our highest standards of safety.”
