UK-based Street Crane has supplied a 5t overhead gantry crane to Clarke Welding Services as part of an installation project.

The crane, spanning 29m, was delivered in two sections to match the configuration of Clarke Welding Services’ facility.

Lifting Systems managed the installation, coordinating directly with both companies to ensure the crane was fitted to meet the requirements of the complex building layout.

The installation marks one of the first projects completed by Street Crane using its updated corporate livery, which comes as the company approaches its 80th year in operation.

The crane manufacturer has reported this project as a milestone coinciding with celebrations for its eight decades in business.

Street Crane said: “As part of our 80-year anniversary celebrations, this crane is one of the first to leave our facility featuring our new corporate livery, making it a key milestone for Street Crane.

“Installation was expertly carried out by Lifting Systems, whose professionalism and close collaboration helped ensure a smooth and successful project delivery.

“Thank you to the team at Clarke Welding Services for choosing Street Crane. It was a pleasure working with you and supporting your continued growth.”

Street Crane, established in 1946, is the UK’s largest producer of overhead cranes and hoists, supplying products both domestically and through a global network covering 48 countries and more than 90 partners.

The company has installed over 100,000 overhead cranes worldwide.

Clarke Welding Services specialises in fabrication, welding, and on-site contracts primarily in the food and chemical sectors.

In February, Darusín Szerviz, a crane service company, fitted an overhead crane equipped with Street Crane hoist technology at the production hall of a Hungarian manufacturing business.

This upgrade is intended to modernise the company’s lifting operations and improve efficiency while allowing production to continue with minimal interruption.
