Spanco, Inc. has launched its new Beam Boss beam tractor drive, the first offering from its new Boss line of products. The unit will bring motorised power to bridge cranes or trolley hoists, available in a wide range of standard speeds with many optional features.Primarily designed for indoor service, the Beam Boss can run on an I-beam or wide flange beam with lower flange from 3.25-8.5in with a 1in thick maximum. It can navigate curves down to a 60in radius and is rated for H3/Class C service. Hardened flat tread wheels are provided with all drives intended to operate on patented track. Optional features include explosion proof controls, spark resistant wheels, soft start, variable frequency drives, and many more.
