Germany-based Scheffer Krantechnik has announced the supply of 15 cranes to an undisclosed customer in Poland, supporting an expansion of the client’s site.
The equipment includes both single-girder and double-girder overhead cranes, some featuring load sway control, as well as standard Scheffer models.
The systems are designed with spans of up to 41m and tailored load-handling gear to accommodate varied applications, such as the movement of sheet metal, flat steel, bar steel, and profile steel.
The cranes will be newly integrated into the client’s material handling operations at the expanded location.
According to Scheffer Krantechnik, the new installations are intended to become a core component of the material handling process at the site.
Installation activities are scheduled to commence following delivery.
The company said: “As part of a site expansion, our customer in Poland is adding new crane systems to its material handling operations.
“The new cranes will become an integral part of the material handling process at the expanded site, helping to keep the movement of steel safe, efficient and reliable.
“Installation is up next and we look forward to seeing the complete system in action.”
Based in Sassenberg, Münsterland, Scheffer Krantechnik has operated internationally for more than 60 years, providing development, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance of crane and transport systems.
The company is a family-owned business and focuses on bespoke crane systems, magnetic lifting technology, and automated transport solutions.
In December 2025, Scheffer Krantechnik finalised the installation of nine crane systems for the Croatian company, Mick.
The project included the supply of four cranes with load stabilisation and magnet lifting technology for transporting pipes, as well as three single-girder overhead cranes fitted with directional load stabilisation.
