Designed for a variety of lifting applications, the QL package comes standard with the Loadmate electric chain hoist “to ensure ease of operation, efficiency and reliability,” R&M added.
The hoist is available with lifting capacities from 1/8-5 tons, and features a compact design, precision gearing and easy mounting. The hoist provides low headroom and allows close trolley end approaches.
Equipped with lifting heights to meet specific application requirements (up to 150ft, single fall, and 75ft, two fall) and lift speeds from 12/3 fpm to 32/8 fpm, “the Loadmate reduces maintenance and offers ease of operation and flexibility,” R&M added.
The QL crane package includes two-speed hoist controls, variable frequency trolley and variable frequency bridge controls as standard. The integral hoist control panel is easily accessible for easy maintenance. Packages are available for 208, 230, 460, or 575/3/60 power supply – 115 control voltage is standard (48 volt is optional).
Additionally, all Loadmate models are equipped with a torque-limiting device for hoist overload protection and an electromagnetic disc brake-clutch combination.
The QL package includes bridge controls that offer several standard, performance-enhancing features including a mainline disconnect switch and mainline contactor, NEMA 4 type rated control enclosures for indoor use, and standard inverter for two-speed or two-step infinitely variable speed bridge control.
It includes pre-engineered electrification packages with PVC flat cables that are UL listed and CSA approved with a temperature range of 31 degrees F to 221 degrees F (-35 degrees C to 105 degrees C).
“The cables are suspended from galvanized steel C-track. Plug connections make installation, repair and replacement simple to minimize downtime,” said R&M.
All movements can be controlled from a convenient, easy-to-reach plug-in pushbutton station (eight buttons including emergency stop button). Standard packages are available for single girder top running or single girder under running crane configurations and crane spans up to 62 feet.
The package offers additional features, including a pendant controller or optional RaCon II radio controller. The under running end truck models are adjustable for various flange widths, while the modular design of the bridge drive combines the gearbox, motor, and brake for ease of maintenance.
