The LPR system uses a series of fixed transponders mounted on existing structures coupled with sensors on cranes, crane trolleys loaders and forklifts to calculate position, orientation and speed of movement.
It uses real-time calculations to workout positions and, according to Crane Care, is highly accurate in fog, low light, dusty environments, blizzards and in the dark.
“The system offers consistent, repeatable performance, proving 99.9% effective in any given situation,” Crane Care said.
