Italy-based manufacturing company Officine Meccaniche Pellanda has upgrades its facility with the installation of a 3.2t Facco overhead crane.

The new equipment will help boost its production capacity and streamline operational processes, said the company.

The crane is designed to allow handling heavier loads, greater operational safety for staff and more efficient production schedules.

Officine Meccaniche Pellanda CEO Matteo Pellanda said: “We are pleased to announce the installation of the new Facco overhead crane at Officine Meccaniche Pellanda. This investment further strengthens our production capacity and improves the operational efficiency of our facility.

“We thank the team for their hard work and our partners for their collaboration. We will continue investing in technology to maintain high standards of quality and productivity.”

Established in 1977, Officine Meccaniche Pellanda has been offering mechanical processing services for nearly five decades.

The company specialises in customised precision mechanical work and medium-to-heavy carpentry. The Pellanda Mechanical division operates as a subcontractor for clients requiring welding, machining and assembly of medium to large components as well as complete machines.

Officine Meccaniche Pellanda said that it has also implemented sustainability measures across all stages of production in an effort to reduce environmental impact.

In addition, operations are carried out in accordance with clients’ specifications and drawings.

Commenting on the latest crane installation, Officine Meccaniche Pellanda sales manager Valentina Manfio said: “The arrival of our new overhead crane is just one of the many steps forward we’re making.”
