M&M Topuzi Group has completed the installation of a third overhead crane at Doan Glass’s facility in Elbasan, Albania.
Engineered by German overhead crane and hoist manufacturer ABUS Kransysteme, the newly installed crane offers a lifting capacity of 3.2t and spans 18m.
M&M Topuzi Group is the official distributor of ABUS in Albania. The partners established a formal partnership in 2025.
The crane system will support demanding industrial lifting operations at the Doan Glass facility.
According to M&M Topuzi, ABUS designs crane systems in Germany while production takes place in Albania and uses German-made electrical components with CE certification.
The cranes are said to meet the requirements of the European Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. Manufacturing follows the ISO 9001:2015 standard for quality management systems.
This latest installation follows the company’s previous completion of two overhead cranes at the same site in October.
Those earlier units each featured a 6.3t lifting capacity, a 20m span and a 12m hook path.
M&M Topuzi Group has been active in the industrial sector in Albania and the wider region since 2009, focusing on metal construction, industrial weighing systems, and crane installation services.
The company’s products include laboratory and vehicle scales with load capacities reaching up to 120t, all of which undergo verification and calibration by authorised technicians.
The business moved its headquarters to the Metallurgical Plant area in 2022 to expand its production and service operations.
M&M Topuzi Group now carries out activities in Montenegro, Kosovo, and North Macedonia in addition to Albania.
