LEEA says it has seen growing numbers of companies outside the UK signing up for membership, which includes companies from Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Indonesia.
As such, it has taken steps to open up the full range of on-site training modules to members anywhere in the world. Oman-based Safety Technical Services was one of the first overseas companies to take advantage of the training, with training officer Adrian Ryan completing a three-day course at the company’s offices. This was intended to prepare participants for the association’s Part 1 Entry Examination that forms the foundation module for its diploma qualification.
“The value of LEEA membership is now recognised around the world,” said LEEA chief executive Geoff Holden. “It is therefore vital that we continue to develop new ways of making our services readily accessible to members, wherever they are based.”
“The Sultanate of Oman is a progressive, forward-thinking country that insists on the highest standards and we will use this foundation course to build a programme of continuing professional development within our company,” said Graham Carpenter, group general manager for Safety Technical Services.
