König Stahl has said it is in the process of installing a new overhead crane at its warehouse facility in Poznań, Poland.

The company is replacing the previous crane, which had become increasingly unreliable due to frequent breakdowns and slower operating speeds.

The upgrade was prompted by the need to improve material handling for steel pipes and profiles stored on site.

The new crane has been designed for transporting steel pipes and profiles internally and is fitted with magnets and specialised grabs to facilitate efficient movement within a Joch-type storage system.

König Stahl expects the installation to result in enhancements to operational efficiency, process reliability, and workplace safety at the Poznań location.

The company said: “An important modernisation is underway in our warehouse in Poznań.

“The installation of a new crane will improve daily work, increase process reliability and improve safety.”

König Stahl has operated in Poland since 1993 as part of KÖNIG HOLDING, an Austrian-based group with over 160 years of industry experience.

The company’s product range includes seamless pipes of various sizes, hollow sections formed both hot and cold, welded pipes, precision pipes, rolled and drawn steel, as well as 3D laser cutting services for steel profiles and pipes.

The company also acts as an official partner for Jansen’s window, door, and façade systems.
