Henrich Baustoffzentrum has replaced its existing crane bridge at its Siegburg site in Germany with a new model supplied by ABUS Kransysteme.
The installation took place in the company’s in-house reinforcing steel bending shop, where the new overhead crane will handle lifting, lowering and moving loads weighing up to 5t.
The project involved several hours of assembly due to the system’s 3.8t dead weight.
A test engineer approved the installation, and the crane is now operational.
The company selected a bright yellow design for the new crane, which aims to improve visibility in areas where heavy loads are transported through aisles.
This measure seeks to enhance safety for staff and vehicle operators in the facility.
The company said: “Last Wednesday we implemented a real upgrade in our in-house reinforcing steel bending shop: Our previous crane bridge was replaced by a modern model from ABUS Kransysteme GmbH.
“A big thank you to everyone involved who made this project possible!”
