UK-based crane manufacturer Granada Cranes has revealed the commencement of an installation project at its facility.

The team is installing a compound column in the central row to support two gantries, with two additional gantry rows running alongside, forming two bays each measuring 78m.

Each bay will be equipped with a 10t overhead crane from Granada.

The fabrication team is responsible for the build.

The project involves coordinated efforts from several team members, including crane technician Greg Mckown, crane engineers Liam Rodgers and Daniel Caffari, and installation specialist Martin Heason.

The whole project planning and management is overseen by project manager Bryan Sorroll.

Liam Rodgers said in a LinkedIn post: “A massive credit to our Fabricators for pulling this off and also Bryan Sorroll for planning and managing this project.”

The project completion is expected in the coming weeks.

Once completed, the installation is expected to enhance the operational capacity of the site.

Granada Cranes was founded in 1980 and operates as an independent crane manufacturer.

The company supplies electric overhead travelling cranes and provides planned preventative maintenance for various lifting equipment, including hoists, jib cranes, vacuum lifting systems and associated accessories.
