According to the police, Takaharu Nakashima’s 19-year-old son found him hanging from the crane. The son called for an ambulance, but Nakashima was confirmed dead at the hospital. Nakashima’s head and face were covered in blood and bore marks suggesting he was hit with a blunt instrument, the police said.
The police believe Nakashima was assaulted by someone in the factory and was dragged several metres to the crane. It is believed that the perpetrator then wound the cable around Nakashima’s neck twice and hung him from the crane, the police said. Police indicated that nothing was stolen from the factory.
Nakashima’s son received a call on his cell phone from a stranger who told him to go to the factory. He drove to the factory and found Nakashima hanging from the crane.
