Curtiss-Wright Controls Integrated Sensing Europe is comprised of two former Penny & Giles business divisions, which it acquired in 2002 – Penny & Giles Aerospace and Penny & Giles Controls.

Through these two companies it supplies a range of position measurement, control and recording solutions to OEMs in a wide variety of markets including automotive and motorsport, materials handling, off-highway equipment, construction, hydraulics and pneumatics and aerospace and defence.

“The increased synergy between the two businesses provides us with a fantastic opportunity,” explained Rayment, who is aiming for a 15% year on year growth for the company. He added: “The market is driving a natural migration between the two offerings. Industry is demanding the higher specification in performance-critical components that we’ve been supplying to the aerospace market for more than 50 years and aerospace is under pressure to find high volume solutions that can still offer reliability and accuracy.”

Rayment, who will be based in Christchurch, holds a BEng (Hons) Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Portsmouth University and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Bournemouth University.
