German stainless steel chain maker Ketten Wälder has launched the cromox Rotating Double Swivel (CWHD), a new addition to its Grade 60 stainless-steel roundsling connector range.
The company stated that the CWHD is designed for use in industries where hygiene and corrosion resistance are important, including food and beverage, cleanroom, offshore, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and water treatment sectors.
The new swivel features a dual mechanism that enables rotation under load at two connection points, which aims to prevent torsion and support handling during lifting operations.
The component primarily uses Grade 60 AISI 318LN Duplex stainless steel for its body, with safety pins, ball bearings, screws, and nuts also produced to Grade 60 AISI standards.
According to the company, the CWHD holds a Working Load Limit of 0.63t. Its material composition provides chemical and salt spray resistance as tested under DIN EN ISO 9227 for over 1,000 hours.
Ketten Wälder CEO Franz Wälder said: “The double swivel function is designed to solve under-load rotation challenges directly at the point of use. Combined with the Grade 60 material properties, the CWHD meets the requirements of many demanding industries.
“It continues our mission to provide stainless-steel lifting equipment that performs reliably under high corrosion exposure, strict hygiene standards, or continuous offshore operation. We expect the capacity range to expand over time, but 0.63 t is currently our hot runner for rotating connectors.”
Ketten Wälder is increasing stock levels across warehouses located in Germany, the UK, and the US to meet global demand and reduce lead times. Direct shipments are available from the company’s headquarters.
The swivel’s compatibility with various cromox masterlinks and sub-assemblies allows it to fit into existing lifting assemblies within the product system.
