Granada Cranes has completed the manufacture and installation of 18m double girder box beams, built entirely in-house and featuring a 50t-12t twin hoist for an undisclosed client.

The equipment departed from the company’s workshop on 23 December and was installed at the client’s facility on 27 December.

The company, which operates in the UK, specialises in designing, producing, and fitting electric overhead travelling cranes.

Granada Cranes also maintains and repairs various types of lifting equipment such as jib cranes, hoists, vacuum lifters, manipulators, and other accessories.

Its maintenance services cover both scheduled preventative checks and emergency breakdowns, with engineers available around the clock throughout the year.

Founded in 1980, Granada Cranes operates across both onshore and offshore sectors.

The company supplies products and services to several large clients in the UK manufacturing and construction industries.

Granada Cranes completed the installation of two single girder cranes, each with a 10t capacity, at a client facility. The cranes featured SWF Nova 2 underslung hoists.

This installation concluded work that started the previous month, which included the fabrication and placement of two 78m gantries by Granada Cranes’ fabrication team to fit the existing site infrastructure.

In March this year, Granada Cranes supplied 72 davit crane units for the Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm in Scotland.

As part of the contract, the company provided two variants of davit cranes designed for different foundation types present in the project. The company allocated specialised tasks to local subcontractors to meet delivery requirements.
