AkelCrane has delivered and commissioned a 30t overhead crane system for the SASKİ Samsun Drinking Water Treatment Plant in Tekkeköy city of Turkey.
The project included the end-to-end design, manufacturing, delivery, installation, and final commissioning of the crane system, which is intended for use in the facility’s operations.
The overhead crane was specifically engineered to perform under the operational requirements of water treatment sites, focusing on safe load handling and operational reliability.
According to the company, the system’s design aims for durability and reduced maintenance needs across its service life.
The SASKİ Samsun Drinking Water Treatment Plant provides treated water to the city of Samsun in Turkey.
The facility is in the midst of a significant second-stage expansion valued at Tl1.7bn ($36m), which is expected to increase its total daily treatment capacity to 200,000m³.
AkelCrane, which produces a range of cranes and lifting equipment, stated that its solutions are intended to support critical infrastructure and water treatment projects in multiple regions.
The company develops its products at a 2,000m² production facility and incorporates compliance with international standards, including FEM, DIN, BS, and EAC.
