Powerhoss Spmt now available in Us
16 October 2023In celebration of the 40-year anniversary of the TII Scheuerle self-propelled modular transporter (SPMT) and in cooperation with the German heavy load transport technology firm, Transport Products and Service Enterprises has announced that the six-axle PowerHoss is now available in North America.
This version of the SPMT is designed for use in a variety of applications, including shipyard transport and shipbuilding, internal logistics, metallurgy, wind energy, aerospace and more.
The six-axle Power Hoss is described as being a “compact” transporter and comes with an integrated drive unit of either diesel hydraulic or electric. It has a payload of 360 tons and measures 39ft by 10ft.
Transport Products and Service Enterprises added: “These transport modules can also be used in a vehicle combination to comfortably handle the most difficult tasks in intralogistics. An optional operator’s cabin can be added, offering a great benefit during uncooperative weather conditions.”
Transport Products and Service Enterprises is based in Cocoa, Florida, while TII Scheuerle produces a range of heav-duty lifting solutions.
