New VP for Engineered Rigging

US based heavy lift equipment rental and engineering company Engineered Rigging has promoted Mike Beres to vice president sales and operations.


In his new role Beres will be responsible for overseeing the company’s sales growth, while also managing the operations side of the business, with a brief to build and improve the company’s relationships with both customers and suppliers.

He joined the company in August 2020 after more than five years with Enerpac where he was director of the heavy lift technologies division for North America. This was his second tour of duty with the company having also worked with the company for 14 years between 2000 and 2015.

Beres began his working life in 1996 as a sergeant in the United States Marine Corp, starting his civilian career in 2000 as a territory manager with Enerpac, with a promotion to sales engineer of its Integrated Solutions division in 2008.

In 2014 he took a job as account manager with JWF, a manufacturer of automation machinery. but returned to Enerpac after seven months absence.

Engineered Rigging’s founder and president Christopher Cox, said: “Mike has made a significant impact at Engineered Rigging during the past three years. “In this leadership role, Mike will help accelerate our company’s growth and elevate the customer experience.”

Engineered Rigging is based in Valparaiso, Indiana on the southeast side of Chicago and provides engineering services, design build solutions, heavy lifting and specialised transport equipment.

The company is an Enerpac dealer and offers gantry systems, self-locking cube jacks, jack-up and skidding systems, tools and rigging gear for sale or rental.
