Italian company Mocchetti Gino has completed the manufacture and installation of a double-beams overhead crane for a large steel tubular vessels department.

The crane is designed for handling operations in environments that require high versatility, precise movement, and safety.

The installed system features a capacity of 6t and a span of 23m. It includes a 360-degree rotating trolley and a crossbeam with multiple attachment points, allowing it to be configured for various operational needs according to the requirements of the site.

According to the company, the aim of the design is to address the handling challenges specific to steel tubular vessels.

The company engineers the crane for adaptability and control during material handling processes.

Founded in 1955 by Gino Mocchetti, Mocchetti Gino is headquartered in Rescaldina, Milan.

The company designs, produces, and installs industrial lifting and handling equipment, with a focus on customising systems to match client specifications.

Its operations serve both national and international markets, and the company reports working with clients from a range of industrial sectors.

Mocchetti Gino states that its teams collaborate with clients from the start of each project in order to develop solutions that meet precise lifting and handling requirements.

The firm puts emphasis on aligning its engineering approach with demands for precision, safety, and long-term operational service.

The company supplies equipment intended for different operational environments, adapting its systems to the specific needs set out by clients in industrial processes.

In February, Mocchetti Gino completed the installation of a steelworks crane designed for ladle handling. The crane is operated from a control cabin and offers a lifting capacity of 160t on the main hoist and 40t on the auxiliary hoist, with a span measuring 25.05m.

For this project, the company’s production department engineered and built the main hoist gearbox to meet the specific requirements of the installation.
