ABUS Levage France has installed a 10t ELK single-girder overhead crane with a 14.5m span at a boilermaking facility in Dordogne.

The equipment was delivered and commissioned for a customer operating in metal fabrication.

The installation is intended to support handling operations at the site.

ABUS Levage France referenced collaboration with partners and internal sales and technical teams during the delivery of the project.

The company said: “Thank you to our client for the trust placed in us throughout this project.

“Thank you also to our partners for their collaboration.

“Congratulations to our sales and technical teams for their professionalism and the quality of their work!”

ABUS Levage France is the French subsidiary of German manufacturer ABUS Kransysteme and operates from Nancy.

Founded in 1986, the company supplies and installs lifting equipment, including overhead cranes, jib cranes, HB systems, light gantry cranes, hoists and winches.

Systems are produced in three factories in Germany under industry standards, including FEM regulations, and are compliant with CE requirements.

The company offers equipment across a range of lifting capacities from 100kg to 120t, and provides services covering selection, installation, assembly, commissioning and maintenance.

Last month, ABUS Levage France delivered and installed two overhead cranes for MKTS, a company specialising in exceptional mass transport.

The project comprised a double-girder unit rated at 36t (20t per hoist) with a 16,440mm span, and a single-girder crane rated at 8t over the same span.

MKTS chose the equipment to support its lifting operations.

The company’s engineering department led the assessment and selection, using a database of standard components to match operational requirements.
