ABUS Levage France has supplied and installed two overhead cranes at the premises of MKTS, a company that specialises in exceptional mass transport.

The installation includes a double-girder overhead crane rated for 36t (20t per hoist) with a span of 16,440mm, as well as a single-girder overhead crane capable of handling 8t across the same span.

MKTS selected this equipment to improve efficiency in its lifting operations.

The firm managed the assessment and selection process through its engineering department, utilising a database of standard components to meet operational needs.

ABUS Levage France said: “Our teams recently installed two overhead cranes for MKTS, a company specialising in the transport of exceptional masses.

“A great illustration of collaboration: when a partner becomes a customer, trust takes on a new dimension and is concretised through joint projects.

“Thank you: to our partner who has become a customer for his trust in the realisation of this project, to our sales and technical teams for their professionalism and commitment throughout the project.”

The company, which operates out of Nancy as the French arm of German manufacturer ABUS Kransysteme, produces lifting systems in three factories in Germany according to established industry standards, including FEM regulations.

Founded in 1986, ABUS Levage France offers a range of lifting equipment such as overhead cranes, winches and jib cranes.

Its focus remains on providing solutions tailored to operational requirements within industrial settings.

MKTS manages logistical aspects related to oversized and exceptional convoy transport, relying on experienced drivers and specialised vehicles.

Recently, ABUS Levage France installed two ELS overhead cranes, each with a 10t capacity and a 28,240mm span, at a site in Goxwiller, France.
