US-based Harrington Hoists has introduced its HSDLB Standard Duty Lifting Beam, designed for low-headroom applications.

The beam is available in capacities from 0.5t–40t, with outside spreads from 3ft–30ft, with additional sizes and capacities also available.

The HSDLB features a precision-machined bail to provide a good connection between the saddle of the hook and the upper radius of the bail, says Harrington, which minimises wear. Three standard lift points for load adjustment are included, and the beam is supplied with a pair of heavy-duty swivel hooks. Additional lift points and hardware are available as options.

The beam is engineered and manufactured to ASME B30.20 & BTH-1 Design Category B Service Class 2, and has a specified fatigue life of 100,001–500,000 load cycles. All HSDLBStandard Duty Lifting Beams are proof-tested to 125% capacity, adds the company.
