Engineered Material Handling (EMH) has introduced its Model LS Load-Stabilized Hoist, designed to transport loads quickly, securely and safely.

The model incorporates a unique and robust rope tensioning design and reeving configuration, says EMH, which reduces load swing, even during quick starts and stops.

It is particularly well-suited for coil and structural steel mesh handling, container trading, bucket or grab applications, and for precise positioning. Specific application examples include single or twin-hoist magnetic systems, and combination magnetic and clamp systems.

The Model LS is available in two versions: a Single Girder Side-Mounted Hoist, with capacities up to 12.5t; and a Double-Girder Hoist which offers capacities up to 25t. Each hoist is equipped with either three or six separate load ropes, with each individual load rope able to maintain the load securely and safely in position because of the operating angle, says EMH.

Additional options include weighted weighing devices, rotation capabilities, a power supply for magnetic systems or for grabbers, overload protection, load indication, outdoor operation additions, and lighting.

The Model LS joins Ohio-based EMH’s portfolio of overhead material handling equipment for loads from 25lbs up to 300t, including bridge cranes, gantry cranes, jib cranes, self-standing cranes, workstation cranes, crane kits, as well as custom and standard wire rope hoists and end trucks.
