US crane manufacturer David Round has announced its Roto-Mate line of jib crane motorisation products are now available in stainless steel for clean room and other sanitary applications.

Designed to prevent back pain and other typical operator injuries that can occur when using manually rotated jib cranes, the Roto-Mate can be retrofitted to existing cranes or supplied with new David Round freestanding jib cranes.

David Round’s stainless steel jib drive package is fitted within the canopy of a jib crane and is available with capacities up to 5t, featuring push-button control.

It also features a friction drive that holds the crane in place to avoid unintentional rotation of the crane due to vibration or installation on an uneven surface.

David Round claims its jib drives are compatible with almost every brand of jib crane and is available at around half the cost of many jib drives on the market.
