Speedy will be preferred supplier for a range of tools, equipment and training for the 310m-tall building, currently under construction and due for completion in 2012, and set to become Europe’s tallest building.

Speedy’s range of lifting gear includes material hoists and lifts, gantries, lever hoists, chain hoists, floor cranes, jacks, winches, pumps, cylinders and general tackle.

David Graham, managing director, UK Hire at Speedy, said: “With an on-site facility, we can provide a whole range of services, including hire, training, repairs and servicing, from one central location.

“We have on-site facilities at numerous high-profile locations throughout the country providing immediate access to the right equipment in position, bringing substantial ‘green’ and productivity benefits.”

Speedy will also provide Mace with training and toolbox talks on the project, in order to promote health and safety best practice.
