UK-based Vanguard Foundry has completed the installation of a new OHC casting crane at its facility.

The equipment, supplied and supported by Total Crane Solutions, is designed to enhance operational safety and improve efficiency at the foundry.

The crane’s introduction is the first in a series of planned investments aimed at supporting the site’s ongoing capacity and production needs.

Vanguard Foundry’s production and engineering teams have delivered the implementation as part of the company’s ongoing growth strategy.

Founded in 1983, Vanguard Foundry supplies stainless steel and iron castings to several sectors, including turbocharging, diesel engine machinery, marine, defence, agricultural, and general engineering industries across Europe.

The company produces a range of ductile iron materials, including Simo, Ni-resist, Compacted Graphite Iron (CGI), and Austempered Ductile Iron (ADI), as well as numerous grades of stainless steel.

Its services include project management for fully machined castings, covering both prototype and production requirements.

Total Crane Solutions, located in Wolverhampton, provides services for lifting equipment, including gantry and jib cranes.

The company is a member of the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association, employs certified engineers, and operates to ISO 9001 quality standards.
