UK-based lifting equipment provider Tusk Lifting has installed a new overhead crane as part of expansion at its Teesside facility.

The crane installation, which also saw the addition of lorry loading bay, took place at the company’s second unit.

The company indicated these additions were made in response to increased workloads this year.

According to Tusk Lifting, the new equipment is being used to handle loading and unloading operations and to move equipment more efficiently.

The company said in a social media post: “With the increase in workload this year, these upgrades have been a game changer, streamlining our loading and unloading operations and allowing us to move equipment more efficiently than ever.

“It’s small but impactful investments like this that have helped drive the strong growth we’ve seen throughout 2025.

“Big thanks to our team for continuing to push things forward!”

Founded in 2016, Tusk Lifting supplies lifting equipment for various sectors, including construction, manufacturing, oil and gas, and mining.

The business is part of First Tech Group’s Lifting Equipment and Inspection division.

Its product range includes modular beams, chain blocks, pneumatic hoists, trolleys, clamps, and adapter joists, manual hoisting equipment, lifting points, air hoists, wire rope slings, and manual handling equipment.

Recently, Tusk Lifting took part in the LiftEx 2025 in Liverpool, which is UK’s leading exhibition for the lift, escalator, and access industry.

A week ago, the company was selected by Bilfinger UK to support their lifting equipment requirements nationwide.

Earlier this month, Tusk Lifting reached a three-year agreement with Steel River Quay to supply lifting equipment and provide LOLER inspection services.

Under the arrangement, Steel River Quay has also adopted the Tusk Pro asset management software.
