Tomcat USA offered attendees at the 2007 LDI Show the chance to register to win a scholarship to one of its workshops in 2008. Bobbie Duncan of Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, was randomly selected.
Duncan has been with the theme park for about two years working as a lighting technician in the 37 venues throughout the Universal Studios property. She was recently promoted to lighting crew chief.
Tomcat’s 2008 workshops will feature a new and improved curriculum. For the first time, participants will be able to choose their focus, between rigging and truss or chain motors and truss, with beginning and advanced training in that area of focus, all in one workshop.
