ElectroMech will exclusively offer Stahl’s range of EX products to the Indian market. Stahl’s EX range is fully compliant with the European ATEX product directive 94/9/EC (ATEX95).

This, ElectroMech said, is one of the most stringent standards in the world for explosion protection. As a result, it has highlighted the petroleum, and oil and gas sectors as key markets where Stahl’s EX cranes will see increased demand from Indian customers.

ElectroMech kicked off the partnership at the Oceantex expo in Mumbai on 3-6 March, where it exhibited a 5t capacity Stahl EX crane.

Tushar Mehendale, managing director, ElectroMech, said: "At ElectroMech, it is our philosophy to design and commission world-class hoisting solutions for our clients.

“For many years, we had a vacuum in our offerings for the explosion protected range of equipment. With our tie-up with Stahl for the EX range of products, we look forward to bolstering our solutions offering and present to the Indian customers a world-class hoisting solution for hazardous areas.

“Through this tie-up ElectroMech now introduces to the Indian market the safest lifting solutions suitable for use in hazardous, explosion-prone areas. These hoists and cranes are suitable for hazardous atmosphere for both gas (Zone1 & Zone2) as well as dust (Zone 21 and Zone 22)."

Thomas Kraus, director, Stahl CraneSystems, said: "Stahl is proud to be associated with ElectroMech, one of India's leading player in the field of industrial cranes and it looks forward to reaffirm its presence in the Indian hazardous sector market and provide high quality and safe hoisting equipment.

“Through this association the customers will gain an access to global technology, local expertise and most efficient solutions and service.
