A series of JDN air hoists with a range of capacities have been added to Speedy’s growing hire fleet. They include two additional 25t units, two air trolleys, plus a large number of 3-6t and 1-2t hoists complementing the existing fleet.
The hoists have been purchased by Speedy to meet increasing demand for lifting equipment that can be used safely in tough industrial and hazardous environments. Air hoists from Speedy Lifting are currently being used in applications including petrochemical shutdowns, heavy lifting and bridge building work.
The investment now gives Speedy Lifting, it said, the most comprehensive hire fleet of both high and low tonnage air powered hoists in the market, “with the quickest mobilisation and availability.”
Speedy added: “The deal with JDN is part of an ongoing capital investment programme and reflects the quality and reliability of JDN equipment and their ability to meet the demands of Speedy Lifting as the company grows.”
Over £16m (Euros 23.5m) has been invested in the company’s fleet over the last three years.
Claudio Veritiero, Speedy Lifting managing director, said: “Our extended range of air hoists is being used in extreme applications that demand equipment with high tonnage capacities and strong technical performance.”
He added: “This investment continues our strategy of offering customers the best levels of equipment availability, quality and safety in the lifting hire market. This expansion of our product offering is further supported by our investment of more than £1m (nearly Euros 1.5m) in workshop facilities in the last 12 months, ensuring that we not only offer the newest kit but that we have the technical support and expertise to stand behind it.”
