Certex said Quic-Slings are the first fully conforming wire rope slings on the market that comply with EN 13414-1, the latest European standard governing steel wire rope slings. To meet these requirements, the slings are manufactured according to the regulation and using approved components and fittings from suppliers such as Crosby, Certex added.
The new facility in Montrose has been established to further Certex’s range of services to the offshore market, and will be run in conjunction with the company’s regional centre in Aberdeen.
“We have worked hard to recruit the services of very experienced local personnel, who have been making wire rope sling assemblies in the area for many years,” said Davy Young, Certex’s regional business manager.
“This means that we can ensure workmanship and product knowledge to the very highest of standards.”
