Ireland-based Prolift Handling has installed a freestanding jib crane system at a stone fabrication workshop to improve material handling processes.

The configuration includes an over-braced jib crane with a safe working load of 500kg, fitted with an electric chain hoist on a manual push travel trolley.

This arrangement allows operators to lift and move materials vertically and horizontally above the workstation, supporting precision positioning and reducing reliance on manual handling.

The crane operates through manual slewing and pendant control, while its compact form enables integration into the workshop without interrupting existing activities.

The equipment is intended to provide reliable lifting capabilities in environments where efficient movement of heavy materials is necessary.

Prolift Handling said: “Installation of a freestanding jib crane system designed to support safer and more efficient handling within a stone fabrication workshop.

“Many thanks Shane Horan and Pat Mcnamee from our Service team for this brilliant piece of work.”
