A new flexible lifting point, designed for die blocks, mold blocks, steel castings and machines lacking lifting points, has been developed through an English/Taiwanese collaboration between lifting equipment suppliers.

UK firm William Hackett Chains (WHC), in partnership with Yoke Corporation of Taiwan, designed the flexible lifting point to be able to swivel through 360 degrees and flex through 180 degrees.

The companies say the new product can do this without any reduction in the working load limit, unlike when traditional eyebolt are used, and is the safest and most flexible way to attach lifting points to machines with no natural attachment.

Supplied with either metric or UNC threads in sizes M8 up to M48, the flexible lifting points will be available for working load limits between 300kg and 20t. Extended bolt lengths will be available on request.

William Hackett Chains managing director Tim Burgess said: "We are very excited about the new lifting point from Yoke. We have proven the Yoke quality and value in our WHC chain sling system that is now the UK market leader, so we expect this new lifting point to complement our chain sling lifting system very well."
