Mac Cranes and Lifting E. has completed the installation of a new hoist at a customer site in Derbyshire, England, enhancing the site’s lifting capabilities.

The newly installed 500kg LODESTAR hoist replaces the previously malfunctioning 250kg unit, which began slipping after only 18 months in use. The replacement was recommended to improve efficiency and safety during maintenance tasks, allowing for a safer removal of hydraulic cylinders.

After consulting with NIKO Crane Systems, who verified the suitability of the new hoist using their support centre graph, Mac Cranes proceeded with the installation. Columbus McKinnon supplied the hoist, ensuring timely delivery to facilitate the upgrade process.
