Rigging supplier Lifting Gear Hire (LGH) of Bridgeview, Illinois announced it would pilot a new supplying partnership with the Local 597 Pipefitters Union training facility in Chicago.

The firms are piloting an annual rental contract to supply rigging to the Local 597 Pipefitter Union's advanced industrial rigging classes until the end of 2012.

LGH said its logo would be affixed to the wall at the Local 597 Pipefitters Union training facility in honor of its new status.

The logo identifies the partnership between LGH, the UA and the Local 597 Pipefitters Union while increasing daily exposure to approximately 7,000 pipefitters that train at the center, the company said.

LGH has already received positive feedback from training supervisors at the Local 597 Pipefitters Union training facility.

LGH quoted instructors, who said, "You guys are the professionals and we rely on your expertise. We want to lead by example, so it's our goal to teach our apprentices safe rigging practices. After all, they are the future of our trade."
