A system called ProfileMaster was put to work by SWF Krantechnik. With its choice of different profiles, curves, switches and turnstiles it said the system offered flexible solutions for the maximum use of available space.

Big span widths were possible with single- as well as double-girder cranes. Krantechnik explained: “Adjusted and pre-assembled components allowed for short mounting periods and low costs. The optimised suspension technique only needed very few connections to the top of the building to reach the aim.”

The electric chain hoists Type SK (also supplied by SWF Krantechnik) completed the robust light crane system ProfileMaster. The user could handle loads from 125kg up to 2,000kg. The hoists were available with either hand- or trolley- drive. The main girder of the single- and double-girder versions could also be motorised.

The SKS Kraner team installed four single girder systems with 6.5m span width on a 32m long trail, each fitted with one electric chain hoist SK with an ultimate load of 250kg.

Also installed were two single girder systems with 10.5m span width on a 16m long trail, each fitted with one electric chain hoist SK with an ultimate load of 250kg, six single girder systems with 8.4m span width on a 20m long trail, each fitted with one electric chain hoist SK with an ultimate load of 500kg, and one single girder system with 6m span width on a 14m long trail, fitted with a vacuum grab with an ultimate load of 60kg.

Two members of the SKS mounting team installed the whole system within three months. SKS Kraner will handle all future maintenance works for the light crane systems.
