JF Electrical Engineering (JFEE) has carried out repairs on a 16t Demag hoist, returning it to operational condition after replacing a faulty micro brake and readjusting the main brake.

The repair addressed the immediate issue, allowing the hoist to resume use in line with safety requirements.

JFEE specialises in a range of crane and hoist services across the UK, including inspections, repair work, and preventative maintenance for both industrial and commercial operators.

Recent projects include the supply and replacement of a wire rope, together with resetting of limits, on a 5t Konecranes hoist earlier this month.

Last month, JF Electrical Engineering completed a LOLER inspection, which identified a missing circlip on a chain anchor point.

Further examination showed that the missing component allowed the pin to move. The pin was already showing signs of wear from contact with the chain’s end link.

The company supplied and installed a replacement pin and circlip to re-establish equipment integrity and ensure ongoing compliance.

JFEE continues to provide technical support, with an emphasis on the safe operation of lifting systems and compliance with regulatory requirements.

The company’s team routinely conducts fault diagnostics, system upgrades, and emergency services to maintain equipment functionality for clients throughout the region.

In March, JF Electrical Engineering refurbished a 500kg jib crane by installing a new control panel and providing a replacement pendant control for a client.

The company completed the work to ensure reliable performance and the equipment’s continued safe operation.
