UK-based overhead cranes and electrical services company JF Electrical Engineering has completed the mechanical assembly and electrical installation of a 6.3t Guralp overhead crane for RGM Cranes.
The company prepared, tested, and delivered the equipment to meet the operational requirements of RGM Cranes’s customers’ site.
JF Electrical Engineering’s scope of work includes both mechanical and electrical aspects, covering all stages from build to delivery.
The company delivers services within the overhead crane sector, addressing breakdowns, servicing, inspections, and new installations.
JF Electrical Engineering, which operates in Sheffield, England, also manages control panel construction, hoist system conversions, and upgrades to wireless remote operation systems.
In a LinkedIn post, JF Electrical Engineering said: “Another smooth install from the JFEE team, ensuring reliability and performance from start to finish.”
Recently, JF Electrical Engineering fitted a new Fuji Ace inverter control panel to a Morris 400 hoist at one of their client’s site.
The initial configuration allowed only single-speed operation, which led to motor tripping when operators inched the hoist while the brake remained engaged.
Engineers addressed this problem by installing the inverter panel, which enabled two-speed functionality and improved motion control.
The team concluded the project by performing a full load test to verify that inverter settings and operational performance met requirements.
